Paul Goswell
Paul Goswell is the Managing Director of Delancey
Estates having taken part in the £274m management buy
out of the former public company when it was taken private in
May 2001. Mr Goswell has extensive property and investment experience
having worked continuously in the industry under a variety of
guises since he graduated from University in 1986.
Delancey is acknowledged as one of the most entrepreneurial
companies in the property industry. It has a portfolio of
around £700m under management through out the UK covering
all sectors of the market and has been involved in a number
of major development schemes and property joint ventures with
some of the World's leading investors.
Notable projects in the past include the development of ICI's
new global headquarters in London, the development of N1,
a major new shopping centre in Islington, Millennium Plaza,
a new leisure complex in Cardiff and the DTI's office building
in Buckingham Palace Road, London. The company is equally
active on the corporate side with activities such as the £170m
acquisition of Milner Estates plc and currently holds significant
shareholdings in Colliers CRE and Centros Miller, not to mention
Mapeley.
Mr Goswell joined Delancey Estates when it acquired Freehold Portfolios
Estates, a private fund management group where he worked with
Jamie Ritblat. This was founded in 1995 and built up an investment
and development portfolio under management of around £400m
before it was sold to Delancey in 1998.
Prior to Freehold Portfolios Estates, Mr Goswell worked at Healey
& Baker for 10 years where he originally specialised in
national investment agency and was lastly the partner running
the City of London Investment Agency Department.
