Mapeley has agreed a surrender and leaseback deal on 56 CTIL sites with Pinnacle Towers Limited. The contract, which lasts for 20 years, has resulted in an immediate rental increase and future increases in line with the retail price index.

Mapeley is delighted to announce that Merrick Marshall has joined the company as Group Head of Asset Management with overall responsibility for leading the property function, including investment, asset and portfolio management. Prior to joining Mapeley, Merrick held senior client roles within a number of major real estate companies and fund managers including L&R Properties, AEW Europe and The British Land Company plc. Throughout his career he has delivered added value from large and complex portfolios as well as successfully undertaking significant development and refurbishment projects. Mapeley has agreed a new 10-year lease with the US chain Five Guys Burgers and Fries at 1/3 Cheapside, Leicester. The company now has 43 restaurants up and down the UK.

Mapeley has successfully let two separate suites at Vancouver House, Kings Lynn, to the NHS. The first, let in May 2015, totals 3,143 sqft / 292 sqm, and a further 3,455 sqft / 321 sqm was taken this month.

Mapeley Estates Ltd has appointed Sanderson Weatherall, a leading UK chartered surveyor consultancy, with effect from 1 October 2015, with a UK wide mandate for Property Management of its 500 strong portfolio of high street retail assets.

Mapeley has let the first floor of Crown House in Wolverhampton to Carillion Construction. At 11,076 sqft / 1,029 sqm, it is the largest office letting in Wolverhampton since 2007.

Mapeley has agreed the sale of Warwick House in Newcastle upon Tyne, which totals 32,044 sqft / 2,977 sqm. The building is to be converted into residential use via Permitted Development Rights.

Mapeley has agreed a new 15-year lease with The Naan Shop at 36 King Street in Southall. The deal represents a new concept takeaway retailer and will form the base for expansion throughout London.

Reed Elsevier has agreed with Mapeley to fully let Dukes Court (4th floor Block A), totalling 9,700 sqft / 901 sqm, in Woking for a record rental rate. The building is now fully let.

Insurance company, Staysure, has agreed a 6 year lease on the 5th floor (13,336 sqft / 1,239 sqm) of Sherbourne House, Coventry. The letting is a significant addition for the City.

Mapeley has let the first floor of Wycliffe House in Durham to ATOS IT Services. The suite totals 1,245 sqm / 13,401 sqft and the building is now fully let.
