Events > Funding the future with your present property assets

"A seminar that examines new ways in which Local Authorities can utilise their fixed assets to fund their future service delivery requirements and guarantee the outcome."

Local Authorities are currently struggling to balance their service delivery requirements with the financial obligations arising from their fixed assets. Many of your colleagues in Local Authorities have already reached the conclusion that a traditional approach to the management of property assets falls short of addressing your investment needs.  The commercial world has reached the same conclusion and has come up with an alternative.

On 6 November 2003 the UK's two leading outsourcing companies, Mapeley and LS Trillium, combined forces with property specialists CBRE, financial advisors PricewaterhouseCoopers, office interior design and build specialists Morgan Lovell and The Municipal Journal to sponsor and stage a free, all day seminar for Local Authority chief executives, finance and property directors in London.

The seminar will, through a series of presentations by the sponsors and other experts, including a senior official of the Office of Government Commerce, examined the current issues facing Local Authorities to evaluate a new form of property and service partnership.  In addition there was a speaker from Hertfordshire Council to provide a Council perspective.
