Mapeley, the specialist provider of serviced business space currently short
listed for both the Aviva and Bradford Authority outsourcing contracts, today
announces the appointment of Jamie Hopkins to chief executive.
In his new role, which took effect from the beginning of this year, Jamie
will be responsible for all areas of the business but will focus in particular
on future growth opportunities and long term business strategy. As chief
executive, Jamie will head Mapeley's executive committee, which currently
comprises Robin Priest and Phillip Russell, both of whom will continue to focus
on business development, and representatives of Mapeley's shareholders.
Mapeley also announces that Richard Georgi of Soros Real Estate Partners, is
stepping down as chairman and handing over to Rob Kauffman of Fortress
Investments the other major Mapeley shareholder.
Jamie Hopkins joined Mapeley in 2002 as property director and was appointed
managing director in early 2003. Prior to Mapeley Jamie worked at Delancey,
James Ritblats property investment company, and FPD Savills.
