UK: DELANCEY ESTATES WILL OFFER PROPERTY MANAGEMENT ONLINE.
Revolution
1 Mar 2000

Property developer Delancey Estates is to launch a property management and services web site following its acquisition of an offline management business from Property & Capital.

The developer and landlord is also looking to invest in property dotcoms following its purchase of a 50 per cent stake in property rental site spacetorent.com at the start of the year. Delancey will use its connection with Facilities Management firm Mapeley to provide the content and expertise for its management services site.

The commercial property company, which announced a move into e-commerce earlier this year, is targeting online opportunities, including co-branding deals with student sites, according to its deputy chairman and head of e-commerce, Colin Wagman.
"Once we develop the student accommodation aspect of the site, it would make sense to link up with other sites targeting students to offer the service. We would look at co-branded deals with other parties," said Wagman. James Ritblat, managing director of Delancey, revealed that it is looking to make announcements on new acquisitions in the near future.
