Mapeley Appoints Robin Hughes to Manage the Abbey National Contract

Mapeley, the specialist provider of serviced business space, announces today that it has appointed Robin Hughes to manage the Columbus Contract it has with Abbey National.
The portfolio, which was purchased by Mapeley in December 2000 for �457.5 million, comprises 1,160 properties, totalling 650,000 sq m nationwide and encompasses call centres, offices and retail sites. Robin will take responsibility for directing both occupational and investment initiatives on the whole estate.
Prior to joining Mapeley Robin was responsible for Norwich Union's Central London property portfolio, which included Paddington Central. Prior to NU Robin fronted CB Hillier Parker's sale and leaseback business.
Commenting, Robin Priest, Chief Executive of Mapeley said:
