John is responsible for all operational and commercial activity within the London Region.
He is a Chartered Civil Engineer and a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers. After
graduating from The City University London he served for 17 years in the Corps of Royal
Engineers where he worked on overseas building and construction projects in Belize, the
Falklands and in the USA the latter whilst attached to the United States Air Force.
Whilst serving he completed attachments with Sir Robert McAlpine, Gifford & Partners and
Watermeyer Legge Piesold and Uhlmann. In his last three years of service John worked in
the MoD Defence Crisis Management Centre as part of a team involved in logistic and engineer
planning for global operations.
He then moved to working for Perot Systems where he worked in the Global Financial Services
Division as the Account Manager for Clearstream International based in Luxembourg. Here he
was responsible for delivery of a USD 50 million IT service support contract serving the
custody and settlement of Eurobonds using an offshore partner. More recently John worked
in business development and programme management for a financial services contract in Dublin.
John is a graduate of the Services Staff and Command College in International Affairs and Defence
Studies and is also a member of the Engineering Council and the Institute of Management.
